Saturday night in the ACC Championship, Jameis Winston and the Florida State Seminoles got off to a rather slow start. Actually, it was tremendously slow and uncharacteristic as they were shut out in the first quarter by the Duke Blue Devils.
But, in the second quarter, Winston and the ‘Noles got themselves right back on track when they grabbed the first touchdown of the game.
With 12:36 to go in the second quarter, Winston capped a nine-play, 64-yard drive with this touchdown strike to 6-6 wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin, something that these two have done a lot this season.
It’s actually quite simple. Jameis puts the ball in the air to the big man, and the big man goes and gets it:
As great as Winston has been all season, he’s had some great receivers to throw to all season, and Benjamin has certainly been one of them.
That play broke the ‘Noles out of their little slump, and now they might get the offensive gears rolling from here.
