The last time that Colorado beat Kansas in a basketball game, Kanye West was still trying to discover himself as an artist and we had no clue who or how many Kardashians there were. But for the first time in over ten years, Colorado has topped the Jayhawks on the college court and they couldn’t have found a more dramatic way to do it.

After staying in a brutal fight with Kansas down the stretch of their game on Saturday, Colorado possessed the ball last with just seconds left on the clock. Askia Booker not only hit a game-winning three pointer to beat the Jayhawks, but he didn’t even set his feet before launching the ball into the basket.

We’ve seen some crazy finishes in college basketball but most of the drama is reserved for March Madness. But the madness came early this year as the No. 6 ranked Jayhawks couldn’t stop the Buffaloes, Booker or his game winning running three pointer. Their season isn’t over but it took a devastating blow thanks to Colorado’s first win over Kansas in the last 19 meetings between the two teams.
