On Saturday night, the Auburn Tigers and Missouri Tigers will be squaring off for the SEC Championship in a game that could send the winner to the BCS National Championship. It is the biggest game of the season for both squads, but there is one player who will be soaking up the experience and hoping to continue his storybook comeback.
It was just over two years ago that Missouri running back Henry Josey suffered a devastating knee injury that could have ended his career, but he is back and stronger than ever and he will be looking to help his team earn the win.
On Nov. 12, 2011, Josey went down with a torn ACL, MCL, meniscus and patellar tendon. From there, his road to recovery began.
This season, in his return to the field, Josey has defied all odds by rushing for 951 yards and 13 touchdowns to show us that anything is possible. Josey is one of those guys that you can’t help but root for and his story is an inspiration to us all.
Josey sat down with the crew from ESPN’s College GameDay before Missouri big match up on Saturday to discuss the injury and his comeback, as he gives us an inside look at just how difficult it was to overcome the challenge and come back stronger than ever.
