Last week, Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota announced that he would be returning to school for at least one more year, but he didn’t make his decision before asking the NFL Draft advisory committee for an evaluation.
There were reports earlier in the day from John Middlekauff of CSB Bay Area that Mariota made his decision without a request being sent out to the NFL advisory committee first, but it appears that his sources may have been off.
According to Rob Moseley of GoDucks.com, who actually took the time to speak with Mariota, the Oregon quarterback did in fact submit his paperwork.
Moseley corrected the report on Twitter:

Regardless of what did or didn’t happen, Mariota is now back at Oregon and he will have another year to fine tune his skills.
Whenever he ultimately decides to declare for the NFL Draft, Mariota will undoubtedly be among the top quarterback prospects available.
