Another day, another Nick Saban rumor. Earlier in the week, there were rumors circulating around the web that Nick Saban to the Texas Longhorns was a “done deal,” which led to plenty of people being concerned and news stations in Alabama scrambling to dig up a story.

Of course, it was simply a rumor that was passed along, so everything needed to be taken with a grain of salt.

Now, there is a new rumor that has surfaced and some indication that Alabama and their head coach are working towards a contract extension that could make the Crimson Tide fans very, very happy.

From Jeff Platt of ESPN:

Rumors first surfaced on an Alabama message board, which led to further speculation and eventually the information from ESPN.

Whether or not a contract extension ever comes remains to be seen, but we do know that the Saban rumors will not die until something official is reported. Hopefully we can reach a resolution in the coming weeks.

Do you think Nick Saban ultimately ends up returning to Alabama as a richer man or will he bolt for one final challenge? Sound off in the comments section below with your thoughts on the latest Saban rumors.
