The San Diego Chargers received some great news as second year linebacker Melvin Ingram was activated from the physically unable to perform list and will play on Sunday.

Ingram tore his ACL back in May and pretty much an ugly domino effect as a handful of Chargers were injured in the following months to come. His return comes at a perfect time as they get ready to take on the New York Giants at home.

Both teams are in a must win situation as they’re hoping to fight for one of the Wild Card spots in the AFC. The division is pretty much out of sight and out of mind for this team, but a post-season berth is a post-season berth.

The team sits at 5-7 on the year and is currently competing with the Baltimore Ravens, Pittsbugh Steelers, New York Jets and the Tennessee Titans for a berth.
