Auburn Tigers running back Tre Mason had a career day and all-time great SEC Championship performance on Saturday night, as he helped lead his team past the Missouri Tigers for a big win to stake their team to the SEC crown and a chance at keeping their hopes alive.
Mason set an SEC Championship record on the night with 304 rushing yards, but he ultimately fell short of the Auburn all-time record.
From the Auburn football official Twitter account:
Tre Mason finished the day with 304 yards on 46 carries … just four yards shy of breaking the #Auburn record.

It was an incredible performance for Mason and Auburn, and they sent a message that they are ready to play for the national title. Unfortunately, they are going to need some help in order to leapfrog Ohio State in the BCS rankings.
In order to make the BCS National Championship, Auburn will likely need a win from the Michigan State Spartans or Duke Blue Devils. You can guarantee they will be paying close attention.
