During Friday night’s game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans, Pelicans point guard Tyreke Evans was forced to leave the action early with what appeared to be a serious ankle injury.

However, there is some good news after learning that the x-rays have come back on Evans’ ankle and they were negative.

From Jennifer Hale of Fox Sports:

Of course, Evans isn’t out of the clear just yet.

He will likely still undergo an MRI to ensure he didn’t suffer any ligament damage and he will still likely miss some time. Evans was unable to put any weight on his leg after coming down awkwardly on the foot of Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant.

Hopefully he can avoid missing significant time, but we will not know any more details until the team provides an official update.
