2014 Gator Bowl: Georgia Bulldogs vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers

The BCS Bowl announcements are coming tonight and with it are the announcements of the other slew of bowl games that will be played over the holiday season. One of those bowl games is the Gator Bowl which this year will feature two very interesting teams meeting in an intriguing matchup.

It’s going to be a rematch game but the Georgia Bulldogs and Nebraska Cornhuskers will be battling it out in the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville this year. It was rough years for both teams with the Bulldogs watching a season they hoped could end with a title shot instead end with the team heading to the Gator Bowl. Still, Georgia isn’t a team that doesn’t take pride in everything they do and you’d better believe they’re coming out swinging in the Gator Bowl.

The team that will try to parry those blows is a team that suffered through their own turmoil before landing in the Gator Bowl. From the early season controversy surrounding Bo Pelini to the team not coming close to contending in the Big 10, to end things at the Gator Bowl is actually a blessing for the Cornhuskers.
