Once the clock hit all zeros tonight in Indianapolis and the Michigan State Spartans had defeated the second-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in the Big  Ten Championship Game, reality began to set in for the folks down in Auburn, AL.

Coupling that Michigan State upset with Auburn’s win over the Missouri Tigers in the SEC Championship Game earlier on Saturday means that the Tigers will likely be headed off to Pasadena to play the top-ranked Florida State Seminoles in the final BCS National Championship Game.

This is a season down on the Plains that really no one expected. This Auburn team was expected to finish near the bottom of the SEC, not win it like they did, and they certainly weren’t supposed to make it to the BCS title game.

Yet, that’s what’s happened, giving the Auburn fans a feeling that they haven’t felt since the 2010 season when they won it all.

So, naturally, the Auburn fans were excited to say the least. And, what do Auburn fans do when they’re excited?

They roll Toomer’s Corner:

Considering the 3-9 season they had to endure last season, those fans deserve every bit to celebrate tonight.
