Blackhawks' Andrew Shaw will play against Florida Panthers

Head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks said that center Andrew Shaw will be suited up and on the ice for the team’s next game against the Florida Panthers. According to ESPN,

Shaw said he “aggravated pain” in his upper body during Tuesday’s game against the Dallas Stars. He missed Thursday’s game against the Minnesota Wild and Friday’s game against the Anaheim Ducks. He has eight goals and nine assists in 29 games this season.

“I’m pretty excited, tons of energy,” Shaw said after the team’s optional morning skate at the United Center. “I felt great on the ice. I’m excited for tonight’s game to start.”

Shaw won’t be the only one back on the ice for the Blackhawks following an injury. Brian Bickell is back from his injury.

Blackhawks forward Bryan Bickell also skated Sunday for the first time since suffering a lower-body injury on Nov. 19. He has missed nine games due to the injury. He has five goals and one assist in 22 games this season.

The Blackhawks have been firing on all cylinders so far this season, and they don’t look to slow down anytime soon, especially with key players returning from injury.
