Daniel Thomas returns to Dolphins after reports suggested he was out for season

After suffering a nasty ankle injury in Week 12, the South Florida Sentential reported that Miami Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas would miss the remainder of the regular season.

Nobody took exception to the report considering it was completely fathomable that Thomas would be unable to return, especially those that watched the game. However, Thomas is making a somewhat shocking return to the lineup today, just two weeks after suffering the injury.

It’s likely Thomas will be placed on a snap count, but the return is quite shocking considering reports had deemed him out for the season and the team really didn’t suggest otherwise.

Lamar Miller will draw the start, though, will likely lose some snaps to Thomas who has spent the majority of the season as the third down/goal line back – a role he’s likely to return to, when fully healthy.

Thomas has three touchdowns on the season in addition to 279 yards rushing on 77 attempts.
