I didn’t expect to see the score I did when I first turned on the game. I missed a good chunk of this game but didn’t expect Cleveland to be on top of New England, especially at home.
When I turned the game on, Cleveland was up 12-0 early in the third quarter. Then things started to pick up.
Wide receiver Josh Gordon has had a monster season.
New England put up three points with a little under three minutes left in the third quarter. Cleveland got the ball back in hopes of responding with some points of their own and they did just that. In a huge way.
Gordon got inside of his defender and brought in the reception which was enough to pick up the first down but turned into a bigger play. After a little bit of a stiff arm, Gordon was able to kick it into second gear and outrun two defenders for an 80 yard touchdown.
The score after the touchdown and extra point still had Cleveland up on New England 19-3.
