What a scene from Los Angeles, where Kobe Bryant was introduced to the home crowd for the first time since he suffered an achilles injury eight months ago.

This was no doubt the most anticipated game of the season, and the Laker faithful is pumped to see their living legend back on the court. As you can see from the video above, the crowd explodes when Bryant is introduced by the PA announcer, and all is well in LA again.

Bryant started out with a nice assist to Robert Sacre, and he has been moving the ball well. He air-balled his first attempt, but he went to the bench after a little more than four minutes of play with 2 assists and a steal. This will be a video that is played for the rest of NBA history when it comes to Kobe, so enjoy the moment while it’s here.

They played the “Imperial March” from Star Wars, so that in turn will create a lot of Star Wars puns for the rest of the season.
