It’s been no secret that Miami Heat and NBA star LeBron James is a big fan of college football. He’s always on twitter sounding off with his comments on the happenings of the collegiate gridiron.
One of the teams that James has pledged his allegiance to in recent years has been the Florida State Seminoles. Yes, before the bandwagon comments start, James has made it public knowledge that he roots for the ‘Noles.
However, being from Akron, OH, James has also been a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. He’s even gone so far as to say that if he were forced to attend college, he probably would have been a Buckeye under Thad Matta.
So this past Saturday, James faced what could have been a difficult dilemma. There was a possible match up brewing in the BCS Championship Game between the Seminoles and the Buckeyes, if both were to win their conference title games.
Well, the Seminoles did, while the Buckeyes did not, as they were defeated by the Michigan State Spartans in Indianapolis.
James commented on Saturday’s action, and he also made it known that he’ll be rooting for the Seminoles on Jan. 6th:
LeBron, "I knew it was going to be a tough Michigan State game, I just felt it. But I will be rooting for Florida State."
