Tyrann Mathieu carted off field with leg injury (GIF)

Many considered the Arizona Cardinals decision to select former LSU star Tyrann Mathieu in the 2013 NFL Draft, but it proved to be a worthwhile risk as Mathieu has shown to be a true difference maker for the Cardinals.
Unfortunately, it looks like Mathieu may have suffered a serious knee injury on Sunday evening against the St. Louis Rams.
Mathieu was awkwardly tackled and attempted to limp gingerly off of the field, but his knee buckled right before the side line and he went down in obvious pain. The cart came out to take Mathieu to the locker room and he has been ruled out for the game.
There is no official word on the severity of his injury.
