Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has been criticized for his performance in cold weather games. Basically, the knock against Manning is that he doesn’t like cold weather and plays poorly in those games.

The Broncos took on the Tennessee Titans in a chilly match up and it looked like it might be an equalizer for the underdogs. Manning went out and completed 39 of 59 passes for 397 yards and four touchdowns. It was an impressive performance with a 91.6 quarterback rating and a 107.8 passer rating.

“Whoever wrote that narrative can shove that one where the sun don’t shine,” he told Denver’s KOA-AM after the game. “I felt pretty good out there today.”

He backed off those comments a bit and said he wasn’t trying to give any validation to the criticism.

“I mean, I wasn’t trying to answer (the criticism), because I didn’t give it any validation in the first place,” he said, via The Denver Post. “We had a good plan, and … guys caught the ball well.”
