‘Captain America’ Crew Headed Back to Begin Reshoots on ‘The Winter Soldier’

It was just a little over a month ago that we got our first look at the Marvel’s upcoming sequel to Captain American: The First Avenger which is entitled Captain America: The Winter Soldier. While the film is scheduled to be released in just over 4 months, they are not quite finished with the film just yet.

According to The Daily SuperHero, the film is about to embark on a new set of reshoots for the film. The cast and crew will reconvene on December 16th for two days of shooting before they break for the holidays.

Everyone will be getting back together for two additional weeks of filming at some point in January. The specific dates are not known at this time.

Before you start to worry, from what we can tell, this upcoming round of reshoots will not affect the release date of the film.

This is certainly not the first time that something like this has happened, and I am pretty sure that it won’t be the last. In fact, it has pretty much become standard practice for Marvel films to head back out to get that last shot that could make the film perfect. Iron Man 3 is one of those films that Marvel went back out for. The latest of them was Thor: The Dark World where they went back out to shoot additional scenes for Loki.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is scheduled to be released on April 4, 2014.
