MLB rumors: Chicago White Sox attempting to sign Juan Uribe

While the Chicago White Sox have Marcus Semien waiting in the wings, the young talent may not be ready to contribute at the MLB level just yet.

Offensively he looked acceptable during his short stint with the big club where he hit .261 and drove in 7 runs in a 21-game run towards the end of the season, but defensively their were issues.

It’s a growing pain the team may let Semien work on in the minors, which is why they are reportedly interested in third baseman, Juan Uribe.

Uribe of course would be returning to the White Sox for a second time – hoping the reunion would be as magical as his first tenure on the Southside where Uribe became a postseason hero.

The Los Angeles Dodgers, Uribe’s most recent team has offered the infielder a contract though there’s been little reported movement on that in the past few days.
