The Texas Rangers and outfielder Nelson Cruz are still exploring options today, including reuniting. According to ESPN’s Buster Olney, Cruz’s representatives met the Rangers on Monday. Olney also says the two sides could meet again tonight.

Texas wants Cruz back, and according to Olney it comes down to the length of the contract. Texas feels comfortable with a two-year deal while Cruz is looking for a three-year commitment. If Cruz wants to come back, he might need to accept a two-deal offer. Cruz is also coming off a 50-game suspension for his part in the Biogenesis scandal.

In eight years with Texas, Cruz has batted .268 and hit 157 home runs, with 489 RBIs.
