26. San Francisco 49ers

Selection: Allen Robinson, WR, Penn State

Anquan Boldin started the season off strong, but he is aging and may not have much time left to play at a high level.

With the team lacking wide receiver depth behind Michael Crabtree and the veteran Boldin, they will need to add a young, talented wide receiver to the mix to help Colin Kapernick out on the outside. They can get that by adding Allen Robinson out of Penn State.

Robinson is a big bodied receiver that has quick acceleration and the ability to make big plays after the catch. Adding him to the line up will be a very welcomed addition to the roster.

  • Thomas Eric

Still disagree with ur pick for the he bills yes Mack would be a great addition we need a cornerback now and safety either by free agency or the draft

  • JJmann

ATL and Washington both 3-10 play each other week 15, there is no way they that both teams keep the 2nd and 3rd overall pick in that order. The Vikings are 3-9-1 so they would take the 3rd if they lose again this week.

  • JJmann

The Vikings are going to take Clowney if they have the chance. Jared Allen is a free agent this offseason so replacing him is a top priority

    • Rob

No chance they take a DE in the 1st. They have Everson Griffen sitting on the bench. Griffen has had 8+ sacks in each of the past 2 seasons playing in a very part time relief role. As soon as Allen goes, Griffen will move to a starting spot.

  • Ben Peterson

If Richardson is there, I don’t see any way the Seahawks pass on him. He’s got absolutely incredible upside, is a dominant run blocker, and the Seahawks have needs on the offensive line, which has, at times, been actually offensive.

  • Justin Weishaar

I would say the vikings take johnny football.

    • gary r

Problem is that all nfl team are scared of his height, He might not go until the 2nd round. Either way the vikes will take someone else

      • RealRileyFreeman

        Look at Russell Wilson

        • gary r

Of the top 65 qb’s in the nfl he is the only one under 6ft.Also I’m not saying Manziel isn’t good he is it’s just that the nfl is leary of qb’s under 6 foot. And I’m talkng about 1st round picks, Wilson was a 3rd round pick. I could see the Vikings trading down and taking him what do you think

          • Scott

Yeah, can we please not use the success of ONE QB, in particular one like Wilson when someone merely mentions that others are going to be “leary,” or drafting a shorter QB. That’s all that was said, teams might be scared to take him THAT EARLY. But…if you want to use Wilson, after a great Sr. Year, what round did he go in?

        • Rob

          Look at Kellen Moore.

          • RealRileyFreeman

Kellen Moore is nowhere near the talent of Manziel and you even saying his name is disrespectful to Johnny Football..

  • Chris Infante

Yes the Eagles CBs have been playing better, but if Clinton-Dix is not available, I cannot see Chip passing on his former CB. Can never have too many solid CB, especially with how pass happy the league has become.

  • connectedguy

Houston should trade down, Bridgewater will be available at 7-8

    • gary r

no way he will make it past the 3rd pick

  • gary r

The viking could trade up or down to get a couple 1st round picks

  • Gary Stewart

the rams keep reaping the benefits of the RGIII trade and we may wind up with the same pick a number 2 as we traded for after already having gotten the 6th overall pick an extra 1st last year an extra 2nd last year and that was parlayed to an extra couple picks now we may get a top 3 pick in addition to our own which may wind up in the top 10 trade downs could yield as many as 6 top 50 picks in this and next years drafts.

  • Monsoon

Are you nuts we need “the Vikings” need a QB again, then we desperately need a very good CB to complement Rhodes. Chris Cook needs to sit on the bench, or at the very least be a ho hum back up. After we clean house with our coordinators. There is a serious dysfunction with coaching, and talent at critical positions. I think we need Johnny Manziel. Or trade down and get a QB, (ex. David Fales) CB (Ifo would be nice), ILB (who knows at that point) ……btw I believe all of the top 5+ QB’s stats kill Ponder’s college stats

  • Seth Silvani

kelvin benjamin isn’t eligible for the draft. he’s a true sophomore this year.

    • joshsanchez

      he is a redshirt sophomore

  • Chip Henderson

While Easley may be a good player, I can’t see him being taken in the 1st round after not playing for half of the season. Teams don’t bet on injured players
