The Green Bay Packers picked up their first win of the season without Aaron Rodgers under center this past week, but fans are troubled by how many chances it took them to notch that win. With Matt Flynn leading the team, Green Bay’s playoff hopes are dwindling, which is why so many want to see Aaron Rodgers return to the field.

Rodgers has been out with a broken collarbone for a few weeks now and despite playing Brett Favre-like role and not really deciding if he’s going to play or not until the last minute, Rodgers is still considered an option to start when the Packers play the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Rodgers spoke on his radio show in Wisconsin about his status Sunday and kept things ambitiously negative.

Rodgers was referring to his practice last Wednesday and he’s expected to again practice this Wednesday to see where he’s at. It’s not encouraging though that he charted no progress last week but still fans are holding out hope for this week.

A broken collarbone isn’t a small injury, so it’s not surprising that Rodgers is still not ready to come back. Still, he’s trying and we’ll likely know more about his status tomorrow.
