An argument can be made that the two best teams are doing battle on Tuesday night. The 18-3 Indiana Pacers are playing host to the 16-5 Miami Heat. These two teams proved to be the best teams in the Eastern Conference last season when they met in a seven-game series in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Heat, of course, won the decisive final game. It was their third straight Eastern Conference Championship and they followed it up with their second consecutive NBA title.
The two teams are currently in the second quarter and we’ve seen some very sloppy play.
We’ve already seen future Hall-of-Fame guard Dwyane Wade miss a pair of first quarter layups and now we’ve seen an even more embarrassing moment.
After drawing a foul, Pacers’ point guard George Hill went to the free throw line and well, this happened:
Hill is usually a very reliable shooter from the charity stripe. He’s shot 80.9% from the free throw line over his career and has upped that percentage to 82.4% this season.
