‘Godzilla’ First Official Trailer Released

The day is finally here! Today, we get our first real look at the trailer for the upcoming film Godzilla.

As the trailer begins, we hear a team of soldiers being briefed on their latest mission. This is obviously something that they have never dealt with before. Their commanding officer assures them that he would not be sending them out on this mission if he did not have complete faith in their ability to succeed.

My only question is, how does any man, even an army of men, stand up to a force of nature quite like Godzilla?

As the team falls through the dark and brooding sky, the soldier begin to see the monster come into sight. However, let’s be real here…can any amount of training ever truly prepare you for something of this magnitude?

As with any good Godzilla film, there is definitely a lot of running and screaming.

In the trailer, we will also see what looks like an inside view of the M.U.T.O. organization that was so highly teased prior to the release of the trailer.

Just like all of the incantations of this classic movie monster before, Godzilla leaves plenty of destruction in his wake.

The only thing you never quite get a good look at in the trailer is the monster itself. You see many different shrouded images of it throughout; however, none in any great detail. However, you can’t expect them to play their ace in the hole on the opening hand, now can you?

The film stars Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston and Oldboy’s Elizabeth Olsen as Joe and Elle Brody, Kick-Ass actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Ford, Fifty Shades of Grey’s Victor Rasuk as Tre Morales, and many more.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, you have waited long enough. Here is your first look at the first official trailer for the upcoming film Godzilla.

Godzilla is scheduled to be released in RealD 3D, IMAX 3D, and conventional theaters on May 16, 2014.
