Talented, youthful players don’t often come up for trade, but that’s exactly what has happened with Miami Marlins outfielder/first baseman, Logan Morrison.
The 26-year-old Morrison came into the Majors with relatively high expectations – maybe not those of an elite prospect, but it wasn’t out of the question that Morrison would eventually work his way into a middle of the lineup hitter.
Those expectations only grew in Morrison’s sophomore season where despite a relatively woeful batting average (understandable for a young player), the Missouri native clubbed 23 home runs at just 24-years-old. It looked as if Morrison was on his way to stardom, especially when paired with him witty (though at times irritating) personality.
Unfortunately, it’s been all down hill since then, but it sounds as if many teams are willing to take a risk on the talented though unfulfilled product:
According to front office man that’s checked in on Logan Morrison,
#Marlins have as many as seven suitors for him.
Needless to say, it appears that Morrison has appeared in his final game as a Miami Marlin and could have a new home in a matter of days.
