Well, this is getting interesting. Amid numerous reports that Alabama head coach Nick Saban is a legitimate candidate for the Texas Longhorns head coaching gig, which is expected to open later this week after Mack Brown resigns, there are a number of other big name candidates in the mix.
According to Chip Brown of OrangeBloods.com, one of the candidates for the Longhorns gig is Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin.
Brown included Tomlin among the list of potential names on FOX Sports Live:

That is quite the wish list for the Longhorns and one that will definitely open some eyes.
There is no doubt that Texas will go after a big name candidate once the job is vacant and the money that they can throw to a potential candidate will make them a viable option for anyone they want.
Whether or not someone would be willing to leave the NFL coaching ranks for a job at Texas remains to be seen.
