White Sox, Angels, Diamondbacks talking potential three-team trade

The Arizona Diamondbacks and Anaheim Angels have been talking about a Mark Trumbo trade during the Winter Meetings, but discussions have become serious enough to include a third team, the Chicago White Sox.

While no deal has been agreed upon as of yet, there is currently a proposed deal that would send outfielder Adam Eaton to the Chicago White Sox, Hector Santiago to the Anaheim Angels with Trumbo going to the D’Backs.

Again, this has not been agreed on and is just a discussion taking place. Obviously, the trade would likely involve some other parts – most likely minor league prospects, but it’s worth keeping an eye on. There’s no clear answer on if Tyler Skaggs would be included in such a deal, but that seems overly costly for Arizona.

The Angels seem fine with trading the powerful Trumbo and Arizona has hinted they want to leave the Winter Meetings with more power. The two teams seem like a match without a third wheel, but the addition of the White Sox expands the possibilities even more, likely giving the trade a more realistic chance of completion.
