The Wisconsin Badgers defeated the Milwaukee Panthers 78-52 at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin. The Badgers improved to 11-0, and the Panthers fell to 9-3.
Wisconsin began pulling away after a 7-0 run midway through the first, and never looked back. The Badgers took a 45-25 lead into halftime, and retained their substantial lead throughout the second.
Wisconsin shot 50.8% from the field, and knocked down 10 of 26 shots from beyond the arc. They outrebounded Milwaukee 35-26. Outshooting and outrebounding the Panthers led to a win for the Badgers.
Bryant shot 42.6% from the field, and had 19 turnovers. The shooting was decent, but the 19 turnovers were unacceptable. The turnovers were mostly the result of Wisconsin’s ability to steal the ball 12 times. Milwaukee will look to take better care of the rock in future contests.
Wisconsin top performers: Guard Ben Brust led all scorers with 18 points. Forward Frank Kaminsky netted 16 points with four boards, two steals, and two blocks. Guard Traevon Jackson and Forward Sam Dekker each chipped in 12 points, with Dekker adding eight rebounds and six dimes, and Jackson dropping four dimes.
Milwaukee top performers: Forward Kyle Kelm scored 17 points and collected four rebounds. Forward Matt Tiby netted 11 points, five rebounds, and unfortunately six turnovers. Forward Austin Arians scored nine points, and grabbed five boards.
