Former Chicago Bear Brian Urlacher is happy with the way the Bears have been playing, and is very impressed with quarterback Josh McCown, who is playing for Jay Cutler, who is out with an injury.

In fact, Urlacher thinks so highly of the back up quarter back, that he think’s McCown should remain the starter. According to ESPN,

"“It’s going to be awfully hard to take Josh out of there right now the way he’s playing,” Urlacher said. “In my opinion, [McCown] should be the guy. He should be the starting quarterback of the Bears, even if Jay Cutler is healthy. You can’t take a guy who’s this hot out of the football game. If I was on that team, I would have a hard time with them taking him out.”"

Both McCown and CUtler become unrestricted free agents at the end of the season, and while the Bears may pursue both, they will have to make one of them the starter if they choose to go that route.

It will be impossible for a team like Chicago to keep alternating between Cutler and McCown down the stretch, as McCown has been unstoppable as of late.
