UEFA Champions league group play has come to an end and next up is the round of sixteen. It was an exciting conclusion to the group play phase and there was a lot of movement. Each group was made up of four teams and the top two teams in the table from each group will advance. The team that finished in third place will shift over to the UEFA Europa League tournament.

In the round of sixteen, the winner of a group will play the runner-up of another group. Like in group play, no teams from the same country can be paired up against one another.
