In a very talented group of wide receivers fighting for the 2013 Biletnikoff Award, Oregon State Beavers wide receiver Brandin Cooks was able to emerge as the winner.
Cooks was a bit of an underdog for the award going against Mike Evans of Texas A&M and Clemson Tigers star Sammy Watkins, but when his name was called he received an even bigger honor by getting to receive his award from Fred Biletnikoff himself.
In 2013, Cooks was able to rack up 1,670 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns, while adding another pair of touchdowns on the ground.
By winning the award, Cooks becomes the second Oregon State player in history to take home the prestigious award for wide receivers. Cooks joins Mike Hass, who won the award in 2005, as the only two Beavers in history to stake their claim to the honor.
