Yesterday we reported that Diego Sanchez signed a new 8 fight deal with the UFC, and he was interested in fighting at UFC 171. Throughout the past few weeks, Diego has been active on Twitter asking fans who they think he should fight next.

Diego spoke about fighting Nate Diaz, Joe Lauzon, TJ Grant, Josh Thomson, and numerous other fighters. He also had an ongoing twitter battle with Conor McGregor a few times as well. Unfortunately, Conor’s injury would not be healed in time for a fight between the two.

A fighter Diego had never mentioned was Myles Jury, but it looks like that will be his next assignment. Last night Diego tweeted this:

Today, UFC News confirmed the UFC 171 bout with this tweet:

This may not be the big fight Diego was looking for, but it should be a great scrap either way. If Jury is able to defeat Diego, it would be a huge feather in his cap. If Diego beats Jury, then he is right back in the mix at the top of the division. If this fight is 1/10th as incredible as Diego’s last fight against Gilbert Melendez, then we are in for a treat.
