The clock is ticking, and the Eleventh Doctor’s time is coming to an end. In the newest trailer released by BBC, we see that Matt Smith’s final hours as the Eleventh Doctor are going to be a well fought battle indeed.
The plot of the episode is pretty simple.
Orbiting a quiet backwater planet, the massed forces of the universe’s deadliest species gather, drawn to a mysterious message that echoes out to the stars. And amongst them, the Doctor. Rescuing Clara from a family Christmas dinner, the Time Lord and his best friend must learn what this enigmatic signal means for his own fate and that of the universe.”
Amongst the enemies the Doctor will have to face are the Weeping Angels. If you have ever watched Doctor Who before, you know that the Weeping Angels have changed our outlook on stone statues. To be honest, I feel sorry for Whovians who live in places like New York where statues are everywhere.
Another enemy you will find is the Daleks. What would a Doctor’s swan song be without a visit from one of the Doctor’s most notorious enemies of all time?
One of the most dangerous enemies that the Doctor will reacquaint with will be the Silence.
The prophecy states that Silence Will Fall. This can mean so many things, and in the Whoniverse, it probably does.
However, from the sound of the trailer, the Eleventh Doctor does not go down without a fight.
“If you want my life, come and get it!” the Doctor screams.
This will be the debut of Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor. Well, after the 50th Anniversary Special, who knows anymore, but we will go with 12 for now.
