I honestly think Joba Chamberlain should have kept that mustache, anyways.
Well ladies and gentlemen, it’s official. The Detroit Tigers have decided to roll the dice on 28 year old right handed reliever Joba Chamberlain.
According to Buster Olney on Twitter, the Tigers and Chamberlain have agree’d to terms on a one year contract worth around $2.5 million.
Chamberlain’s deal with DET: 1-year, $2.5 million, plus performance bonuses.

Earlier today I posted that the Tigers had some serious interest in signing Chamberlain who has gone down hill over the last couple of seasons. It’s great that a team hasn’t given up on this man. You never know, all it could take is a change of scenery.
He’ll join a bullpen that includes closer Joe Nathan, Bruce Rondon, Phil Coke, Ian Krol and Jose Alvarez just to name a few.
Chamberlain posted a 4.93 ERA, 38 strike outs, 1.74 WHIP in his final year with the New York Yankees. He holds a career 3.85 ERA and is close to 450 strike outs.
