WSU's Mike Leach riffs on 'Breaking Bad' for the Pac-12 Network

The Washington State Cougars finished the 2013 regular season with a 6-6 record, making them bowl eligible for the first time since 2006. By accepting the invitation to play in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl on December 21, the Cougars will be in a bowl game for the first time since 2003 (and only the eleventh time in the program’s history).

So what did Washington State head coach Mike Leach talk about when he was interviewed by Mike Yam of the Pac-12 Network earlier this week? Did he bring up how important the bowl appearance will be for recruiting? Did he touch on Washington State’s near-upset of the Auburn Tigers? Did he mention how even a 6-6 record is a great accomplishment in Pullman?

Hell no. He riffed on Breaking Bad for a few minutes and barely even mentioned football. Why? Because he’s Mike Leach.

You can check out the video on the Pac-12 Network website. (It’s void of spoilers, so don’t worry if you haven’t finished the series yet.)

The Gildan New Mexico Bowl, in which the Cougars will played the Colorado State Rams, will begin at 11:00 a.m. PT and can be seen on ESPN. Cook up something nice and enjoy the game!
