Over the course of the last year, Netflix has been dipping its toes into new ground. Rather than just streaming content from outside sources such as blockbuster movies and television shows, they have ventured into the realm of creating their own original series for the platform. One of those shows is the intense political drama House of Cards. Now, the good people at Netflix have given us a look what we can expect heading into Season 2 of House of Cards.
As we know, Frank Underwood, played in the series by Kevin Spacey, has found a way to position himself into the Vice Presidency; however, a rise to power always leads to some form of opposition…sometimes on more than one front, in this case…all of them.
Investigative reporter Zoe Barnes, played by American Horror Story’s Kate Mara, is getting closer and closer to the truth about Frank and Peter Russo. As any good reporter would, she will stop at nothing to break this story wide open.
This brings us to Frank’s wife Claire, played by Robin Wright. Another unfortunate circumstance that comes with power is the spotlight. Claire struggles to deal with how in the intense scrutiny of the public eye begins to eat away at their once private lives.
Things are definitely going to get intense in Season 2. Thankfully, you don’t have much longer to wait now.
Here is a look at the upcoming Season 2 of the Netflix Original Series House of Cards.
House of Cards Season 2 is scheduled to begin on February 14, 2014 on Netflix.
