Johnny Manziel on NFL Draft: ‘Jets would definitely be a neat team to go to’

Texas A&M Aggies quarterback Johnny Manziel recently spoke with the media about the NFL Draft and how he believes he stacks up as an NFL prospect. As you would expect, Manziel had some interesting things to say.

Manziel noted that he has been compared to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, but he feels that he has a different skill set that makes him a unique player.

The interview occurred in New York City, where Manziel is currently staying as he prepares for tomorrow night’s Heisman Trophy ceremony, so when he was asked what team he would like to play for in the NFL he played a bit to the hometown crowd.

Manziel said that the “Jets would definitely be a neat team to go to” and mentioned how he loves New York City, so we will have to see if the Jets make his wish come true in the draft.

New York just spent a second-round draft pick on Geno Smith, so it may not be the most practical selection, however Smith has struggled greatly so there is no guarantee that the team would pass up on another talented passer in the 2014 draft.

Where do you think Manziel should be selected and what team would you like to see him play for? Sound off in the comments section below with your thoughts.

It’ll never happen..Expect the Jets to keep Smith and try to pick up a veteran to compete with him. They need too much elsewhere to pick a QB two years running. WR, TE, OL, LB CB are needs they must somehow address. With that list, I just don’t see Manzeil in their future any time soon. Maybe when he’s 30 and the Jets still need a veteran to “compete”!!!
