Both the New York Mets and the Seattle Mariners appear to be two of the busiest teams so far this off-season.
With the Mariners, they signed the biggest free agent on the market in second baseman Robinson Cano. Meanwhile the other baseball team in New York, added some much needed help in that outfielding group that lacked power.
Now the Mets are currently speaking with the Milwaukee Brewers about a possible trade that would involve first baseman Ike Davis. Davis doesn’t appear to be the first baseman their looking for and could be searching for someone with a lot more power in his bat. Which would open it up for Lucas Duda.
But they could be adding someone else who could take that first base job.
According to Buster Olney, the New York Mets and Kendrys Morales could develop a “good team-friendly deal” sometime in February or March.
Worth repeating: a good team-friendly deal could develop for the Mets with 1B Kendrys Morales in February or March.

It would be a great pick up for the New York Mets. I just hope if he does sign with them, he doesn’t end up hurting himself while celebrating after a walk-off home run.
