The UFC has big plans for TUF. Whether it is TUF nations, TUF Brazil 3, TUF with straw-weight women, or the original TUF, the UFC is making noise with each different season. Yesterday, the UFC posted their teaser for the Ultimate Fighter season 19 coached by Frankie Edgar and BJ Penn.

In the teaser, the UFC seemingly released the cast of the show and their respective teams. In a screenshot from the video (courtesy of Severemma) you can see the names of the fighters, and the team they are on:

Here is a breakdown of the names:

Team Edgar

  • Corey Anderson
  • Patrick Walsh
  • Matt Van Buren
  • Todd Monaghan
  • Ian Stephens
  • Dhiego Lima
  • Eddie Gordon
  • Hector Urbina

Team Penn

  • Anton Berzin
  • Josh Clark
  • Daniel Spohn
  • Chris Fields
  • Mike King
  • Tim Williams
  • Cathal Pendred
  • Roger Zamata

The screenshot cuts out before Roger Zamata’s name, but you can see it in the video. Was this an accident by the UFC, or was it done purposefully? Does this ruin the fights to get in the house and the picks because we know the teams already? Either way, this is definitely odd.

A few names that might jump out at you are Hector Urbina (16-8), who has fought for Bellator previously, and Cathal Pendred (13-2), Conor McGregor’s teammate and Cage Warriors welterweight champion.
