The Atlanta Hawks are one of the more cutting edge teams when it comes to social media. Whether it’s making somewhat funny fan instructional videos or posting relatively amusing tweets, the Hawks seem to be at the forefront of creating viral content – at least in regards to NBA teams.

That’s likely why their latest attempt was crafted, though, this one might not see the type of response they hoped for.

For some reason, somebody decided it would be a good idea to spoof the hilariously awful ‘Sharknado’ movie which took the internet by storm a few months back.

Things start out with the Hawks cheerleaders traveling to Cancun, Mexico for a calendar photoshoot but things quickly turn sour when the city is ravaged by, you guessed it, hawks.

The girls do their best to fight back, which includes some absolutely woeful acting from Kyle Korver. But it’s not until one of the dancers nails are broken until things get really out of hand.

Because this is really one storm you want to avoid

And no, you don’t get your three minutes back – so stop asking.
