Thoughts on Hasheem Thabeet's dentist selfie

At least we know someone has fun at the dentist.  Check out Hasheem Thabeet‘s dentist selfie Twitter pic via @HasheemTheDream.

I’m curious how a dentist appointment works for a 7′ 3″ person?  There is no way Thabeet fits in the chair, which makes me think about going through life as an extremely tall person.  Most things we take for granted must be a total inconvenience for tall people. How many times does Thabeet have to duck while going through a door frame? What type of car does he drive?  Can he find golf clubs that fit him?  Where does he buy his clothes?  If you are reading Hasheem, I feel for you.

Career recap: The former No. 2 pick of the 2009 NBA Draft has only played in four games this year for the Oklahoma City Thunder.  In those four games, Thabeet is averaging 1.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in eight minutes of playing time.

Thabeet’s career has not lived up to the hype surrounding him as a 7′ 3″ center out of UConn.  As a Huskie, Thabeet showed stretches of dominance, but it was obvious his basketball skills were raw.  The potential will always be there because of his size and athleticism, but Thabeet has a long way to go before he becomes a good NBA player.
