The New England Patriots are trying to keep control of the number one seed in the AFC after Phillip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers were able to knock off Peyton Manning and the Broncos on Thursday Night.
In order for them to do that, they’re going to have to get the victory against the Miami Dolphins today. Miami is trying to do what the Cleveland Browns weren’t able too last week, and that’s pulling an upset over Tom Brady and those Patriots on their home turf.
Miami Dolphins starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill hasn’t had that bad of a season. He’s been excellent so far against the Patriots, as he’s completed 19 of 27 attempts for 246 passing yards and two touchdowns. His latest was thrown to running back Daniel Thomas who was able to bring it in and find the corner of the end zone to take the 17-10 lead against the New England Patriots in the fourth quarter.
Thomas has has 16 rushing yards on two carries. This is his only score of the game so far.
