Alabama RG Anthony Steen likely out for Sugar Bowl

Anthony Steen has managed to be perhaps the most anonymous of the Alabama Crimson Tide offensive line.  On a star studded group that powered the Tide to a national championship, most of the attention went to Cyrus Kouandjio, D.J. Fluker and Chance Warmack because of their enormous size and NFL prospects while Barrett Jones was best friends with A.J. McCarron.  Meanwhile, Steen just plugged away at right guard and went the entire 2012 season without a penalty.

The news that Steen might miss the Sugar Bowl might be the most attention he has had and for unfortunate reasons.  The hope is that Steen can recover as quickly as possible because he does have substantial NFL potential and while he will have to prove his shoulder is healthy, he has the ability to play left or right guard in the NFL.  Unfortunate news for a great player, but he does have two national championships to fall back on, so hopefully he can is able to keep his chin up.
