The UEFA Champions League draw was this morning and we learned the pairings for the next round of Champions League play. There were two particularly difficult match ups in the round of 16, Bayern Munich playing Arsenal and Manchester City playing Barcelona.

While some Bayern Munich players labeled their draw as difficult, Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini was less pessimisitic about facing the Spanish juggernaut and their team of world-class players headlined by Lionel Messi and Neymar.

“I think it is a beautiful game with two very good teams. For me it was exactly the same against whom we have to play so we will see in February which team arrives the best,” Pellegrini said, via ESPN FC.

“I repeat, all the 16 teams that play in the last 16 are the best teams of Europe so Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dormtund, Paris Saint-Germain for me was exactly the same.”
