Another pair of Air Jordans are set to be released next week. A Champs store at Eastland Mall in East Columbus, Ohio, was handing out vouchers to try to shoppers who would come back next week to pick up the sneakers next week.

From WBNS-10TV:

A crowd of shoppers rushed through the Eastland Mall entrance Sunday morning, knocking the doors off their hinges, to get a new pair of shoes.

Employees at Champs Sports were handing out vouchers for the new Air Jordans. They cost $170 and shoppers will have to come back to pick them up next week.

Extra police officers were called to the mall to help with crowd control. No one was hurt.

Seems a little ridiculous for an overpriced pair of shoes, but the brand has a loyal and cult following that rivals other companies like Apple. Fortunately no one was hurt, just a door.
