Auburn coach Gus Malzahn shares initial impression of Florida State

The Auburn Tigers are preparing to take on the Florida State Seminoles in next month’s BCS National Championship game, which means it is time for head coach Gus Malzahn and his coaching staff to look over the game film to get a feel for what they can expect when they meet Florida State on the field.

Malzahn shared his thoughts on Florida State and the Auburn coach noticed just how fast and athletic the Seminoles are.

“When you turn on the film on both sides of the ball, the thing that jumped out to me is speed, super fast,” Malzahn said, via al.com. “They’ve done a great job recruiting. They’ve got a whole lot of good players. It’s not a coincidence they’re the No. 1 team in the country and undefeated. Nobody has even come close to them.”

We have all heard of “SEC speed,” so Auburn should be prepared for what they will face on the field, but no one has been able to slow down the Florida State offense to this point.

It is going to be interesting to see how it all plays out on January 6, so buckle up and get ready for what appears to be an exciting match up.
