Knicks’ Amar’e Stoudemire declares ‘I’m not injured’

Dec 1, 2013; New York, NY, USA; New York Knicks head coach Mike Woodson talks with power forward Amar

There were reports that New York Knicks are running low on big men. Tyson Chandler is nearing a return while Amar’e Stouedmire is set to be sidelined according to Knicks’ head coach Mike Woodson.

“Amar’e's going to be out a while,” Woodson said after practice, via Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN New York . “I don’t know, but he won’t play tomorrow. Kenyon’s out as well. Hopefully Tyson feels good after tonight, will be able to get back in a uniform. For us to get out of this hole it’s going to take a total team effort, and hopefully we’ll eventually get everybody back.”

Woodson said that Stoudemire’s ”knee has swelled up a little bit,” and that is why he is sidelined

Stoudemire wanted to make it clear to the fans that isn’t the case.

Some one isn’t being truthful and forthcoming. It is interesting that Woodson would say one thing, then Stouedmire would correct his head coach in public, and we don’t know who is telling the truth.

It very well that Stoudemire could be clarifying that the swelling in his knee isn’t anything serious and it is just precautionary.
