Lakers at Grizzlies final score: LA holds on 96-92

Pau Gasol had 21 points, nine rebounds and three blocks and Kobe Bryant scored 21 points, had five rebounds and four assists as the Los Angeles Lakers held off the Memphis Grizzlies for a 96-92 victory.

Nick Young poured in 18 points and Jodie Meeks added 13 for the Lakers.

Zach Randolph had 18 points, 16 rebounds and five assists to lead the Grizzlies while Tony Allen had 16 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals.

The two teams were tied at 69 early in the third quarter, but the Lakers went on a 15-4 run, capped by a Nick Young three-pointer. The Grizzlies got the lead back to down to three at the three minute mark, but Bryant answered with the biggest shot since his return, a three-pointer that pushed the lead back to six with 2:39 to play. Gasol then answered a pair of Randolph free throws with a six-footer with 1:53 to play. The Lakers held the Grizzlies scoreless until Jon Leuer scored a meaningless five points in the last 16 seconds.

The Lakers are now 12-13 while the Grizzlies are just 10-14.
