Jameis Winston has another award to add to the pile.  In addition to winning the Heisman Trophy, the Florida State Seminoles quarterback also leads the group of Sports Illustrated All-Americans.  The group includes some well thought out choices on both units.

The #1 team in the nation led the way with 4 selections including Winston and two of his offensive linemen in Bryan Stork and Cameron Erving along with defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan.  The team they will be facing in the National Championship, the Auburn Tigers, had two selections, both on the second team in offensive tackle Greg Robinson and running back Tre Mason.  The team many still believe is the best in the country, the Alabama Crimson Tide had three selections, all on the second team.  Star inside linebacker C.J. Mosley, offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio and safety Ha’Sean Clinton-Dix.

Johnny Manziel was selected as the second team quarterback while three of his teammates were picked for the first team.  Mike Evans and Jake Matthews both made the team as part of Manziel’s offense as did their punterDrew Kaser.

There might be some small issues people could have with some of the choices, but overall, SI did a great job with this and managed to pick deserving quarterbacks despite all the temptation to pick a game manager that showed a lot of class in their victories while not actually doing an overwhelming amount in the process.
