South Florida DE Aaron Lynch, a junior, has begun combine prep with @AP_Combine and is believed to have signed w/an agent. Trying to confirm

If this report is indeed confirmed, the fact that the South Florida pass rusher would be declaring is not a big surprise. Coming into the season, Aaron Lynch was largely expected to come in and have a big year and then go pro. His season was not quite as productive as he had hoped after being such a talented freshman when he was at Notre Dame. There were some that projected him as a top 10 pick coming into the season.
6’6″ 244lbs is his listed weight and the redshirt sophomore recorded 17 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, a pass deflection, and a fumble recovery he took back 44 yards for a touchdown. Lynch certainly has a good amount of talent and ability, but much of what he will be evaluated on will be what he can be in the future rather than what he is now. This was a similar situation with players like Barkevious Mingo, Dion Jordan and Ezekiel Ansah last year, who all went in the top 10. With his frame, he appears to have the ability to load on the muscle and just get better and better while staying extremely athletic.
